Parroquia San Benito Abad

Mission: To support the comunity by providing sacrament, religious education, parenting classes and education classes in order to grow spiritally and socially.

Number Served: 500 community members per month.

Location: Fraccionamiento Villa Real, Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico

SHI Partnership Began: 2009

Project Overview: Parroquia San Benito Abad is new to the Fraccionamiento Villa Real community. Working through Capilla Nuestra Señora Juquila and their affiliation with Las Hermanas Misioneras de Santa Ana, the Parroquia ministers to over 500 community members per month.  They also provide bi-weekly food distribution to families within their community and recently received two portable buildings from SHI.  The portable buildings are being used as classrooms to provide religious education, parenting classes, and adult evening classes focusing on learning how to read and write.
