Most of the inhabitants of these colonias come to Convent San Charbel as the migrate from the South of Mexico, their destination is the international border. The people think that by living close to the border it will make it easier to go to the other side and fulfill the American Dream. Sadly the reality is that they are among the many thousands who are arriving in Tijuana that must waitt for the process of acquiring a work visa and one day achieve citizenship.
