Giving Children A Place to Learn
Our classroom program takes the burden of disposing used modular classrooms in the United States and transforms the classrooms into facilities for impoverished children to receive education and humanitarian services in Mexico.
Making Space for Community
In the last 5 years SHI has brought to Mexico more than 100 modular classrooms donated by U.S. organizations and municipal districts. These classrooms are benefitting children and families through their use in schools, medical facilities, orphanages, aid outreach, churches, and community services. SHI has spent extensive time working with each recipient partner and ensures that each classroom is being used for its intended charitable purpose through on-going reporting.
Donation Process
Our team will make an assessment of your classroom prior to moving to ensure that the classroom is free of termites and structurally stable to withstand transportation. SHI will then arrange for transportation costs, importation fees, and set-up costs to bring the classroom to a prepared site of an approved project site in Mexico.
